Install diviStock on your phone

Add diviStock to your home screen and get push alerts on your lock screen when buy and sell windows open — no app store, no download, no extra cost. About a minute on iPhone, less on Android.

You're using Chrome on iPhone — please switch to Safari Apple only lets Safari install web apps on iPhone and iPad. Chrome on iOS can't do this (it's an Apple platform restriction, not a Chrome bug). To install diviStock and enable push notifications:
  1. Open Safari on your iPhone
  2. Go to divistock.io/install
  3. Follow the iOS steps below in Safari
Phase 1 of 2

Install the app

Add diviStock to your home screen. Pick your platform — the steps differ between iOS and Android.

iOS · iPhone · iPad

Safari only

Apple restriction: only Safari can install web apps on iPhone — not Chrome, Firefox, or any other browser. If you're reading this in Chrome on iOS, open Safari and visit divistock.io/install first.
  1. 1
    Open divistock.io in Safari
On iPhone, only Safari can install web apps. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave can't — this is an Apple restriction. If you're reading this in Chrome on iPhone right now, copy divistock.io/install and paste it into Safari.
  2. 2
Tap the ••• menu on the right side of the address bar
On the latest iOS, Safari's controls live in a menu at the bottom of the screen. The three-dot icon is on the far right of the address bar.
  3. 3
Tap Share in the popup menu
The Share option opens iOS's familiar share sheet — the one with AirDrop, Messages, Mail, and a long list of actions below.
  4. 4
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
Scroll past the row of apps. "Add to Home Screen" is in the action list with a + icon next to it. If you don't see it, scroll to the bottom, tap Edit Actions, and add it from there.
  5. 5
Tap Add in the top-right corner
iOS confirms by placing the diviStock icon on your home screen. Close Safari for now — you'll launch the app from the home screen next.
Android phones

Chrome

  1. 1
    Open divistock.io in Chrome
Other Android browsers may work, but Chrome has the most reliable install path. Most Android phones have Chrome by default.
  2. 2
Look for the "Install app" prompt
Chrome usually shows a small banner at the bottom of the screen asking if you want to install the app. If you see it, tap Install and you're done with Phase A.
  3. 3
    Alternative: tap the menu (top-right)
If the banner didn't appear, open Chrome's menu (three vertical dots in the top-right corner).
  4. 4
Tap Install app or Add to Home screen
The label varies by Android version. Both options do the same thing.
  5. 5
    Tap Install to confirm
The diviStock icon now appears on your home screen and in your app drawer.
Phase 2 of 2

Enable push notifications

Same steps on iOS and Android. After this, alerts arrive on your lock screen the moment we send them.

iOS & Android

Inside the installed app

  1. 1
Open diviStock from your home screen icon
Critical: do NOT open it from inside Safari or Chrome. The app must be launched from the home-screen icon for push notifications to register. It opens in its own window with no address bar.
  2. 2
Sign in and go to Account
Tap the menu (☰) in the top-right, then Account. If you're not signed in yet, sign in with your email and password — or leave the password blank to get a one-time sign-in link by email.
  3. 3
    Tap Enable push alerts
You'll find this button in the Push Notifications section of your account. Your phone will ask permission — tap Allow.
  4. 4
Verify by sending yourself a test alert
On your account page, the Push Notifications section now shows ✓ Enabled. The next alert we send will arrive on your lock screen, even with the app closed.

If something isn't working

Push notifications aren't arriving after tapping Enable
Occasionally, the first time push is enabled on a freshly installed PWA, notifications don't actually start arriving even though the app shows them as enabled. The reliable fix: go back to Account, tap Disable push alerts, then immediately tap Enable push alerts again. This forces a fresh subscription registration with your phone's notification service and resolves the issue. You won't need to do this again unless you reinstall the app or change devices.
The "Enable push alerts" button does nothing
This usually means the app was opened from inside Safari or Chrome rather than from the home-screen icon. Close the browser entirely, find the diviStock icon on your home screen, and open it from there. The button will work once the app is running in its own window.
I don't see "Add to Home Screen" in the share sheet (iPhone)
Scroll all the way down in the share sheet — the option is sometimes below the visible area. If it's still not there, tap Edit Actions at the bottom of the sheet, find Add to Home Screen in the list, and add it to your favorites. It'll appear in the share sheet from then on.
Push alerts arrived for a while, then stopped
Both iOS and Android may quietly unsubscribe a PWA from push if it hasn't been opened in a few weeks. Open the app from your home-screen icon to keep your subscription active. Email alerts continue regardless — push is an additional channel, not the only one.
Why no app store? diviStock is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Modern phones can install PWAs directly from the browser — same push notifications, same home screen icon, same offline behavior as a native app. We chose this route because it works on both platforms today and we can ship updates instantly instead of waiting on app-store reviews.

Common questions

Do I need iOS 16.4 or newer?
For push notifications on iPhone, yes — Apple added Web Push in iOS 16.4 (March 2023). Older iOS versions can still install diviStock to the home screen and use the app, but push notifications won't arrive. Email alerts continue regardless of which iOS version you're on.
Why does Chrome on iPhone not work for install?
It's an Apple platform restriction. Every browser on iOS (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, DuckDuckGo) is required by Apple to use Safari's underlying engine. But only Safari itself can install web apps and register them for push notifications. Chrome on Android works perfectly — the restriction only applies to iOS. If you mostly use Chrome on your iPhone, you'll need to open Safari just for this one-time install. After that, you can keep using Chrome for everything else.
Will I still receive email alerts after installing?
Yes. Email alerts continue regardless of whether you install the PWA. The push notification is an additional channel for Pro subscribers, delivered to your lock screen for time-sensitive moments — not a replacement for email, which remains the system of record.
Can I install on more than one device?
Yes. Install it on iPhone, Android, iPad, or tablet — each device gets its own push subscription, and alerts arrive on every device where push is enabled. To remove a device from the alert list, open diviStock on that device, go to Account, and tap Disable push alerts.
What if I delete the app from my home screen?
You'll stop receiving push notifications, but your account, subscription, and email alerts are unaffected. To re-enable push, just reinstall using the same steps above.
Is my data shared with Apple or Google?
No. Because diviStock isn't distributed through the App Store or Play Store, Apple and Google have no involvement in the relationship between you and diviStock. Push notifications transit through Apple's APNs and Google's FCM (the same plumbing native apps use), but those services don't see the contents of your alerts — just an encrypted message envelope.
